The #2 Mid-Size Easy Hollower is slightly curved at the end to get to the areas where the first tool can't reach. It is designed to reach the material further up the side wall of a bowl/hollow form without touching the opening. When the cutting action of the insert is no longer acceptable, simply rotate the insert 90° to expose a fresh, sharp edge.
