Tersa (M+) M42 High-Speed Steel Reversible Jointer/Planer Knives (2 Pack)

M+ Reversible Blades are HSS (high-speed steel) blades with 8% more cobalt and a custom cutting angle. This means that a M+ Blade has a better resistance to wear. It is suitable for hard types of wood with a closed cell structure, including maple, alder, birch, hickory, and ash.

The decisive advantage of the Tersa system is its user-friendliness. These Swiss-made knives can be mounted using no screws or keys, and they are fixed in the right position by means of a special made gib, which is pressed outwards towards the knife under rotation. To replace the knife, the gib is pushed back, and the Tersa knife can be removed from the cutter without using any other tools.

The Tersa System is characterized by great flexibility thanks to the modular design of identical aluminum washers. Stability is secured by a steel bushing which goes through the planer head. Tersa knives are also quieter compared to traditional cutters. This is a significant advantage for any workshop, as it lessens the risk of hearing impairments.
